In April of 2001, there was a summit in Quebec City, Quebec on the Free Trade Area of the Americas. Many anti-globalization activist travelled across the Canadamerican border as well as several provincial borders to protest at the actual summit. Those of us who were left behind in Winnipeg decided to organize a sympathy protest. One of the organizers was my friend Jacob, and several of my friends who are against free trade gathered together to show our support for those in Quebec City and express our opinions against the Free Trade Area of the Americas.
